In the spirit of the spouse: topics I may eventually get around to writing about:
Cool TV shows: Dark Angel, Dead Like Me
Money, money, money: otherwise known as Why you should save for retirement or at the very least why I’m obsessed with planning and saving for retirement
Persephone: the goddess of the house
The nephews: inevitably, eventually I will talk about the nephews (and niece!), who are adorable and wonderful, some of whom like to try to beat the spouse at Metroid

The framing is finished and we have moved on to arguing over which room best displays the piece of art that is Burtmiah’s. Muchas gracias for the art. We are always happy to have art by our friends on our walls, and some people in fact are overdue to have a piece hanging on our wall. Langster, I’m talking about you. You can’t let Burt be alone on our wall, can you?

So, the spouse thinks he’s a rock star. He is not the only delusional one, however. Exhibit B: Rockster Matt-man. Admittedly, I’ve never tried the game, so I don’t know if I could be a guitar hero too. But I think I’ll settle for being a button-mashing goddess who can kick anybody’s butt at Soul Calibur (I have witnesses) and let the male gender battle it out for rock superstar. Just for the record, the male with an actual guitar, including amp, wins my vote so far, mostly because he has an actual guitar and amp (but no laser guns, hmmmm).
Peer pressure or the spontaneous desire to talk about stuff that interests me? Either way, the result remains: I am blogging. This morning, as I was reading my Vanguard literature, I realized that Vanguard offers podcasts. So, I subscribed, only to find that there are dozens?dozens!?of podcasts on investments, personal finance, business, etc. To my further delight, I realized there are podcasts about board games. Needless to say, I got my money’s worth from our internet connection today; I think I single-handedly used all of our available bandwidth to download 267 podcast segments. Happiness.
