Just in time for spring, I got my new skis. Now if the snow would stop melting, I could go try them out. (Again, the spouse scores husband points: this is my birthday/Christmas present for the coming year.) The spouse suggested skiing in the living room if the snow keeps melting at its current rate, but I’m holding out for one more one-weekend cold spell before spring.
Tonight, my wonderful, loving, amazing (I hope I’m getting wife points for all these adjectives) spouse took me to the patisserie to celebrate Valentine’s. In fact, he took me to coffee today as well. This morning, he presented me with some lovely, dangly, bloodless diamonds. I told him I was holding out for manufactured nethicite, but manufactured diamonds are quite nice too. I think the spouse’s bank of husband points increased a large amount today. Still deciding exactly how many, but a lot.
Two hours and severe marital mishap narrowly averted later, the taxes are done. A bonus: the spouse is still talking to me, so we may have a good Valentine’s day on the morrow.
What does one get for a guy on Valentine’s? Coffee is out. Chocolate is out. Seasonal knick-knacks are out (way out). Thoughts? Maybe I can convert the spouse to coffee. Sigh.
